Primary Teachers
Develop mathematical subject knowledge and pedagogy

What is involved?
This programme is designed to improve the subject knowledge and pedagogical knowledge for all practitioners teaching and supporting the learning of primary maths.

There are two pathways; Number, and Spatial Reasoning. Each pathway consists of the equivalent of four days, spread out over a minimum of two terms. Professional learning and practice development continue throughout, with participants introducing new ideas into their daily practice.

Who can take part?
This programme is for primary teachers who would like to develop their specialist knowledge for teaching maths. This may be particularly relevant for teachers that have moved phases or have not received maths-specific training.

What is the cost?
The programme is fully funded by Central Maths Hub so is free to participating schools.

There are two types of SKTM Primary pathways; *

Option 1 - Number Option 2 - Spatial Reasoning

Choose your preference, this will give us an idea of applicants per option. Dates for each option will be available in the Autumn term.

As this is a DfE funded programme your Teacher Reference Number (TRN) is required. If unqualified, type in the box UQT, in the case of Classroom Assistant type in TA or HTLA.
If you are a qualified teacher, you can find your TRN:

on your payslip - it is a number like this example: RP12/34567.
