Secondary Early Career Teachers
Develop mathematical subject knowledge and pedagogy

What is involved?
Maths-specific subject knowledge projects are available to support secondary Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Participants will be those identified as Early Career Teachers - teacher in their first or second year of teaching.

This programme will build on the knowledge gained during initial teacher training. It focuses, for two years, on the key elements of observing learning, task design, lesson design and adapting teaching.

You will notice aspects of teaching for mastery within a given task or lesson, and be able to articulate their purpose

What is the cost?
The programme is fully funded by Central Maths Hub so is free to participating schools.

As this is a DfE funded programme your Teacher Reference Number (TRN) is required. If unqualified, type in the box UQT, in the case of Classroom Assistant type in TA or HTLA.
