Participants will collaborate and experiment, deepening their knowledge and understanding of the curriculum demands of, and pedagogical approaches to, GCSE Maths. Participants' departments will also benefit through shared good practice, making more confident use of approaches such as bar modelling, multiplicative reasoning, realistic contextualisation or teaching for mastery. Who can take part?
This project is for teachers of post-16 GCSE Maths resit and/or any head of department where GCSE Maths resit is taught. Participants may be based in FE or Sixth Form colleges, schools with post-16 provision, or other post-16 settings. Participants will ideally have some responsibility to develop teaching and lead change. Benefits
