Targeted Support
At Central Maths Hub, we know and understand that not all of our schools have the capacity to benefit from standard Teaching for Mastery Programmes and would benefit from a tailored, in-school support from the Maths Hub.
We are able to offer Targeted Support to some schools in both Primary & Secondary schools through one of two ways; Enhanced Support and Intensive Support. If you feel that your school could benefit please register you interest below.
Intensive Support
Intensive Support is available for schools that have never engaged with an NCETM Maths Hub or, due to circumstances, have paused engagement and need support to get back on track.
This is tailored support for schools in need of additional capacity to enable them to benefit from standard and enhanced provision at a later stage. The intensive provision would be targeted at schools identified through a formal process based on agreed criteria (e.g. attainment level) and referral.
The intended outcomes for Intensive Support are to:
> ensure there is capacity within the school to foster a change in culture in the teaching and learning of maths.
> develop a strong relationship with the Maths Hub and to ensure the school successfully begins to benefit from the Maths Hub’s teaching for mastery offer.
Enhanced Support
If you are a school who is currently participating in the Teaching for Mastery programme but feel that your school or Maths department need additional support to embed Teaching for Mastery approaches.
We may be able to offer some additional bespoke visits from our experienced team, free of any costs to your school. This support may also be available for schools on other programmes including Securing Foundations in Year 7 and the Secondary Subject Leaders Community.
