Welcome to Central Maths Hub

Led by Bishop Challoner Catholic College

The Central Maths Hub is one of a network of 40 Maths Hubs in England, working together within the Maths Hubs Programme, which began in 2014. The programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and coordinated by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM).

Our Hub, works in partnership with neighbouring schools, colleges, universities, CPD providers, maths experts and employers across the hub area to support the continuous improvement of mathematics education for all pupils and students. By bringing together maths education professionals from Birmingham, Dudley and Sandwell we have created a strong network of teachers and schools to support and improve the teaching and learning of maths.

Our vision is to ensure success and enjoyment in mathematics for all pupils.

If you teach, or are in any way involved in maths education, in the Birmingham, Dudley or Sandwell area, you are already part of our hub.  If you are a state-funded school you can access support from us.

We offer a wide variety of events and professional development opportunities, as well as providing updates on our work via social media and email.

You don’t need to do anything in order to join the hub, but if you would like to get involved in our work then please get in touch with us.
