The programme focuses on developing mathematics subject knowledge and effective classroom practice for those new to teaching secondary mathematics.

The programme focuses on developing mathematics subject knowledge and effective classroom practice for those new to teaching secondary mathematics.
Course aims:
- To improve the subject knowledge of participants working with Maths students in Secondary Schools
- To develop better pedagogical understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Mathematics curriculum
- To be aware of appropriate resources available to use and support Mathematics teaching
The course includes:
- 12 hours of face-to-face support
- Self-paced online learning
- Access to a collection of high quality classroom resources
Any teacher who holds a UK Teacher Reference Number (TRN), QTS and is:
- choosing to refresh mathematical subject knowledge to teach (or learn to teach) Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 Maths up to, and including, some higher tier GCSE content;
- returning after a career break, to refresh and update mathematics subject knowledge and pedagogical practice;
- new to teaching Mathematics, to build confidence to teach Secondary Mathematics.
