What have we learned and looking ahead to next year
A full day to support the Teaching for Mastery approach, including a guided demo lesson and action planning. Facilitators will signpost delegates to free resources and outline the structure and themes for the year ahead. There will also be opportunity to reflect upon recent England-China exchange programmes.

Introduction – Teaching for Mastery - unpicking the term; what it is, what it isn't and where it comes from.
Guided demo lessons - a key stage 1 & key stage 2 lesson highlighting the impact of the 'five big ideas' on learning
Lessons from other countries - sharing some key strategies and approaches learnt from other jurisdictions, such as Singapore & Shanghai. Discussing the impact on fluency, reasoning and problem solving in mathematics.
Action Planning - an opportunity for advice around planning for change in your own schools and looking ahead to next year.
Tea and coffee will be provided
